THERESE MARIE BERARD (nee DUMONT) March 25, 1929 - December 16, 2001 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved mother and grandmother Therese Berard lost her courageous battle with cancer at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72. She was predeceased by her mother Elvire, father Alexandre, brothers, Armand and Roland. She is survived by her four children and their families, Gilles (Janice) and their children, Nicole and David of Calgary, Alain and son Marcel of Surrey, Joanne Gregoire (Richard) and their children, Diane and Melanie of Winnipeg, Marcel (Suzanne) and their children, Stephane and Justin, father of Thereses children Ferdinand, sisters, Alice Cure, Irene Joyal and Rita Bourgeois; sisters-in-law, Lucia and Lucille Dumont, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including her special friend Robert Fillion. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20 at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Eugene Church. Funeral mass celebrating her life will follow at 10:00 a.m. also in the St. Eugene Church, located at 1007 St. Marys Rd. Interment to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thereses memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 9Z9. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliative Care of the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and kindness extended to mom during her stay. In care of arrangements: EDWARD J.
