RONALD JOHN HARTLEY It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Ronald John Hartley on Sunday, December 16, 2001 at the age of 60 years. Ron is survived by his son Craig (Karen) daughter Sheri; and their mother Shirley of Winnipeg; brother Lloyd (Betty) of Winnipeg; sister Maureen (Don) of California; and sister Diane (Mel) of Minnedosa. He was predeceased by his wife Frances in 1995; his brother Norman; both his parents, Anne and Lawrence. Ron was born September 17, 1941 in Winnipeg and raised in Fort Garry. He attended school at General Byng, Viscount Alexander, and the University of Manitoba. During his early career he was employed for many years by Touche Ross in Winnipeg and Vancouver. After living in Vancouver and Calgary, Ron and Frances returned to make their home in Winnipeg. They enjoyed spending summers together at their cottage in Whytewold. Ron also looked forward to the many trips he took to B.C. to visit friends. Ron will be remembered as loving, kind, and generous to all who knew him. He was well respected and adored by friends and colleagues. He will be sadly missed. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. in Augustine United Church, River at Osborne.
