GORDON KUBISH On December 17, 2001, at the Selkirk General Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife Margaret, close family and friends, our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and uncle, ended his courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59 years. Gordon leaves to mourn his wife Margaret; his children, Tammy (Alex) and Angel; his step-children, Ken (Colleen), Brent (Phylis) and Lori (Ray) his mother Ann Kubish; one sister Joan (Ray) one brother Norman (Eleanor) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He worked at Canada Safeway for 33 years. His greatest joy was his cottage at Patricia Beach, which he enjoyed so much. Gordon puttered around in his garden, worked in his garage, he was a friend to all. He was always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it. We will all miss him. In keeping with Gordons wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service. A short service for immediate family and close friends will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hussain for all his care, as well as the other doctors and nurses at the Selkirk Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gordons memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Rest in Peace my love. We will miss you. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
