Donald had a very large extended family and many friends who knew him affectionately as Duck and will miss him very much. Donald spent the first couple of years of his life on his grandparents farm. Then moving to Britsh Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan, finally moving back to Eriksdale in 1989, with his mom, sister and brother. Donald enjoyed hockey, curling, snowmobiling and golf. He could be quite the cook when he wanted to be. Even though the last two and one-half years were very difficult for him after losing his little brother, Donald was always smiling and teasing someone. Donald was not an affectionate person but would show his love and caring in other ways. His son Will was a light in a very dark place for him. At the time of his passing, Donald was working for Radian and had been with them for three years. He had just received his passport and was looking forward to the possibility of working overseas. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21 at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Service will conclude at the hall with cremation to follow. Donald will be laid to rest with his brother Eric, at the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Darren Windross, Dustin Windross, Al Lawhead, Raymond Bazinet, Wes Stabner and Danny Lindell. Honorary pallbearers will be his father Alan and his son Will. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William MacKenzie Eric Kinkead Trust Fund, Box 672, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0. We love you and miss you. You are with Eric now.
