GEORGE FULLER Suddenly on Thursday, December 20, 2001, at his residence, George Fuller, aged 89 years, beloved husband of Gladys Fuller, of Winnipeg. George was born March 10, 1912, in Winnipeg, and he lived there all his life. He was active in the Boy Scouts for many years with St. Annes Winnipeg 38th Troop and with the Manitoba School for the Deaf Troop. He served in the R.C.A.F. from 1939 to 1945 in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. George had a long career with the post office, retiring in 1974. He found enjoyment travelling, particularly in his retirement, to England. He remained active building many projects in his shop for both his yard and other members of the family. He took great pleasure building and flying radio controlled planes and rockets. George enjoyed many activities including fishing, exploring at the cottage at Florence Lake, golfing, curling, bowling, baking, gardening, and always loved a good party. He celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with Gladys on December 30, 2000. Surviving besides his wife Gladys, two sons and one daughter, Lindsey and Paula, Brenda and Graham Stratton, Ron and Vanda; nine grandchildren, David, Ann, Michael, Sarah, Sherri (Gwynn), Jennifer-Mouse (Trevor), Chrissy, Janet and Robert; one sister Dorothy Williams. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Marg Fuller. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue, with Rev. W. Vincent officiating. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
