SUSANNA (SUSAN) SCHROEDER (nee BERGEN) Suddenly, on Thursday, December 20, 2001, it pleased the Lord to take our dear wife, mother and grand-mother home. Susan was born September 14, 1928 and married John Schroeder September 14, 1947. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, John; and her children, Brian (Chandra), Leslie, Martha (John Reimer), Esther, Kenneth (Anne), Sharon (Raymond) Mueller, John, Henry (Kim), Phillip (Margaret). She will also be missed by her 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Throughout the years Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and spending time outdoors. She was a woman of faith and a prayer warrior. Her joys and sorrows were always presented as an offering to her Lord. "I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well." Psalm 139:14. She was predeceased by her parents Katharina and Cornelius Bergen; four grandsons in infancy; and her siblings, Anne Frolander, Charlie Bergen, Elizabeth Wiens and Henry Bergen. The funeral service for Susan will be held Sunday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Word of Life Church, 233 - 3rd St. S., Niverville, MB. Viewing will be held Saturday, December 22, 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. Interment at Hespeler Cemetery, Niverville.
