ANNE MAGEL 1920 - 2001 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Anne Magel (nee Riedle) in her 81st year, on Sunday, December 16, 2001, at the Victoria General Hospital. Left to forever cherish her memory are her daughter Anne (Ed Goetz) sons, John and Joseph (Barbara) granddaughter Jennifer; brothers, Ernest and Anthony (Doreen) and sister Adele (Harry Smith). Anne was predeceased by her devoted husband John; parents Rosa and Anton; and brother Bill. Anne was born in Raiding, Austria, in 1920 and immigrated to Canada in December of 1929. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity and caring spirit. A private family service was held on Wednesday, December 19 in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks All Beliefs & Faiths Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Interment followed in Assumption Cemetery where she was laid to rest with her husband. Our family would like to especially thank our brother John for the wonderful care he has given to our mother over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annes memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6, or to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
