Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIAN WASILEWSKI January 21, 1927 - December 21, 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and husband, Julian Wasilewski, who passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Julian is survived by his wife Stella and his two daughters, Irene and Barbara. Julian was born in Gora Pulawska Poland and left home at an early age to serve in the Second World War. In 1950, at the age of 22 he came to Canada and then worked as a lumberjack for approximately 20 years, travelling across Manitoba and Ontario. He then got a job he loved at Canadian Pacific Railway where he worked until his retirement in 1991. During those years at CPR he married and raised a family. Things we will never forget about our dad and husband: how tightly he tucked us in at night when we were kids, how he believed in being a hard worker, how he sacrificed a lot so his daughters could have a good education, how much he enjoyed being outdoors in the summer, how he took the family to the park on Sundays in the summer, how the house was filled with his colourful stories and funny jokes, how he never missed one of our Christmas concerts and how he was proud of his work, family and home. We would like to thank all our friends for their love and support. On Wednesday, December 26, at 8:00 p.m. there will be prayers at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Tata my cie kochamy! CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
