Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS EMILY BAUDRU (nee TAYLOR) On Friday, December 21, 2001, at the Grace Hospital, Gladys passed away in the arms of her loving family. Gladys was born on December 16, 1928 and was raised and educated in St. James. For eight years she worked for Trans Canada Airlines until her marriage to Gene in 1955. Thereafter she devoted herself as wife, mother, and grandmother, to making a loving home for her growing family. Gladys was a gregarious person, never happier than in the company of family and friends. In earlier years, her recreation included bowling and curling until forced by arthritis to forgo these activities. She was particularly fond of family gatherings at the cottage and to the very last was looking forward to next years events. At all times she placed the wellbeing of others before her own and this was very much in evidence even during the final days. She was genuinely appreciative of her good friends and neighbours and often spoke of their kindness to her and the family during this time of need. Lifelong friends Jim and Dolly Drouin from Edmonton were never far from her thoughts. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Nell Taylor and her brother Ron. She is survived by her husband Gene, daughter Susan Morgan (Warren), granddaughters, Sarah, Anna, and Kathryn; son Jim (Alice) granddaughters, Jamie and Kelly; son Ken (Diane) grandsons, Tyler and Kyle; sister-in-law Peggy Powers; nephew David Zryd; and by her cousin Ruth Evans. Too much credit cannot be accorded the medical personnel at the Grace Hospital 4 South, Emergency ward, and Cancer Clinic for their most caring and humane efforts. Dr.s S. Mould, P. Harris, and S. Parham are to be thanked for their capable and compassionate efforts during this stressful period. Flowers are gratefully declined. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception for family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
