DONALD RALPH LOTECKI It is with deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of a great husband, father and grandfather after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61, on Friday, December 21, 2001 at Riverview Health Centre. Don was predeceased by his father Frank, mother Frances, and brother Ray. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, best friend and soul mate June of 36 years; his two loving and devoted daughters, Laura Trapp and Susan Lotecki whom he loved very deeply; son-in-law Darren Trapp; and five precious and cherished grandchildren, Derek, Kelsey and Hayley Trapp, Kyle and Crystal Lotecki who could always brighten his day; sister Gail (Marty) Martel and nieces and nephews. Don grew up in the Cooks Creek area until he left home for work. He was always good at working with his hands and there wasnt anything that he wouldnt try to repair. He then decided to further his career and became a maintenance mechanic and was employed at Burns Meats for the last 21 years. Don enjoyed being around people and looked forward to those suppers out with our group and dearest friends. He loved his winter vacations, country music and summer by the pool spent with family and friends. He was a very caring person and was always there for us for support, guidance, understanding, and helping whenever possible. Don truly lived his life for the love of his wife, daughters, grandchildren and his best friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Palliative Care and to Dr. Crow, Dr. Garcia and all the nursing staff for all their care, understanding and compassion during a very difficult time. Special thanks to nurses Marlene and Ann for all your home visits. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service conducted by Mr. Sid Jones will be held on Friday, December 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. If so desired, donations may be made in Dons memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9. We Love you Don and thank you so much for each and every day we had to share with you. To us, you truly were a very special person and God must of thought so too. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
