ERNA SEIFERT Peacefully on December 21, 2001 Erna Seifert passed away at Victoria Hospital at the age of 81 years, with her family at her side. Erna was predeceased by her parents, Adolf and Helene Bobrowski. Her son Gerd Seifert in infancy, sisters, Adele Ross and Elsa Groth; and brother-in-law Gustav Krause. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gisela Walker (John), Regina Eyssens (Richard), Ralf Seifert, and Carmen Matthews (Dave). Sister Olga Krause, brother-in-law Rolf Groth. Grandchildren, Clint Eyssens (Tanya), Scott Eyssens, and Janie Gy-Varga; and nephews, Ed Groth, Randall Groth (Bev), Derrick Ross (Melissa) and Brent Ross (Corrine). Erna immigrated with her family to Canada from Germany in 1951 and settled in Morris, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in 1955 where for many years she worked at the Eatons warehouse until her retirement in 1985. Erna enjoyed summers at the lake near Lac du Bonnet with her family where she often baked excellent cinnamon buns and apple pies. She enjoyed spending time caring for and spoiling the family pets. The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Boyd for the excellent care she provided, and the nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital in ICU and on the third floor for their kindness and consideration. In lieu of flowers the family request that friends make donations in Ernas name to The Victoria General Hospital Foundation. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28 at 12:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, at 1442 Main St., and interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
