HENRY WALTER ALSTADT June 16, 1915 - December 25, 2001 Suddenly on Christmas Day, Henry Alstadt passed away peacefully at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB. Mr. Alstadt leaves to mourn his beloved wife Mary; daughter Sharon Enns (John) and his sister Emma Boggs. Four grandchildren, Jason, Justin (Vanessa), Noel and Tessa; two great-grandchildren, Bethany and Ryan. Henry spent most of his life farming with his wife Mary in Greenridge, MB. From 1969-1980 he was Transportation Supervisor for Boundary School Division. He enjoyed working with his many friends and coworkers in this position. In 1988 Henry and Mary sold the farm and moved to Steinbach. The family would like to thank their friends and neighbours in Steinbach for their many acts of kindness in assisting both Henry and Mary. Appreciation is also extended to the Steinbach Paramedics and the Bethesda Hospital staff for their excellent care. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at the Steinbach United Church at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, with Rev. Mary Annan officiating. Interment to follow in the Heritage Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers at the service will be, Dan Barkman, John Calder, Wilfred Gerhardt, Albert Goossen, Gary Klassen and Dennis Simmans. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, they make a donation, in Henrys name, to the Steinbach United Church or to a charity of their choice.
