ROBERT CECIL (BOB) BLANCO It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Blanco on Sunday, December 23, 2001 at Concordia Hospital age 82 years. Bob will be sadly missed by his wife Freda. They had just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on November 21. Bob was predeceased by his parents, John Albert and Emma, as well as two brothers, Henry and Delbert. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother Stanley (Jean) of Pilot Mound; sisters-in-law, Eva (Henry) and Elsie (Delbert) of Winnipeg; nephews, Doug (Brenda) Blanco, Souris, MB, Garry (Marilyn) Blanco, Pilot Mound, Dale (Susanne) Blanco, Winnipeg, Robert (Lois) Krueger, Will (Judy) Kukelko; nieces, Sheila (Dennis) Bamford, Pilot Mound, Cheryl (Wayne) Zorn, St John, NB, Theresa (George) Milne, Sanford, MB and many great-nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his long time fishing buddy Edward Kernaghan, many spiritual brothers and sisters and friend Shirley Nicholson. Bob had fond memories of special walks with niece Jennifer Kukelko "Pumpkin". Until his retirement, Bob was employed by Versatile Mfg Ltd. He was presently a member of the Wolever Park Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. He was baptized 51 years ago and actively shared his hope in Jehovahs Kingdom. His firm belief in the Bibles promise of the resurrection sustained him through his illness and he looked forward to life on earth when Jehovah will wipe away all tears, sickness and death (Rev. 21: 3,4). Many thanks to Dr. J. Drexler, Concordia Hospital Emergency and 3rd Floor nurses for their care. Special thanks to his home care givers Eugene, Myron, Lucille and Mary for their devotion to Bob during these past years. You are very special to our family. Viewing will be held on Friday, December 28, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thomson Chapels. Graveside service Saturday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. Garry Memorial Park followed by a memorial service Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 1060 Wolever Ave., West entrance, with Mr. Anthony Markham presiding. Active pallbearers are Doug, Garry and Dale Blanco, Robert Krueger, Will Kukelko and Edward Kernaghan. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
