CATHERINE (KAE) ANTONIA IANNONE (nee LAMONICA) Peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2001, our mother Kae Iannone passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Mom was born in Winnipeg on July 28, 1917 and was the ninth of 10 children born to Provedenza and Antonio LaMonica. She married Pasquale (Pat) Iannone on September 3, 1940. Kae was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church and a Founding Member of Holy Rosary Council of the Catholic Womens League where she remained active until her health failed. She was a caring, loving mother and grandmother. She cherished the time spent at family gatherings and especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.We will always remember the wonderful times spent together and the wonderful family dinners around her dining room table. Mom was very appreciative of relatives, friends and neighbours who were all so kind to her. Kae was predeceased by her husband Pat in 1986 and her brothers and sisters, John, Mike, Joe, Tony and Jack LaMonica and Jennie Rennie, Provie Battaglia, Santa Fines and Mary Falconer. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter and son-in-law Rosemary and Bob LaTourelle; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Joanne Iannone; three granddaughters, Michele, Diane and Bobbi-Lynn (Tom) grandson Michael; six great-grandchildren, Brittney, Spencer, Keira, Gianna, Carissa and Brooke and many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff on 2S of Deer Lodge Centre for their excellent care of Mom over the past two months. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Sam Argenziano on Saturday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Kaye will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Michael Iannone, Tony LaMonica, Henry Dellapenta, George Robson, Tom Standing and Bert Cordileone. "Mom, we will sadly miss you, we thank you for your love, support and encouragement; for the sacrifices you made for all of us and for the memories you gave us.
