Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her son Shane, daughter-in-law Lana and two beautiful grand-daughters Kiara, Calista and her many family, friends and co-workers who loved her dearly. Predeceased by her father Leonard, her mother Helen, and brothers Allen, Kenneth and Terrance. Joyce was born February 28, 1949 in Winnipeg. In her early years she worked side by side with her parents at the cafe they owned Joyces Grill which was named for her. She graduated from Tec Voc High School in 1967. Shortly thereafter she met and married Gerald Wiens. Together they raised their son Shane in their home in East Kildonan. They enjoyed as a family their holidays together, travelling Canada and the States and camping at Grand Beach. She began her career at the Health Science Centre where she worked for 32 years. She was very proud to be part of a team that helped people. Joyce pursued an active life making new and maintaining old friendships. She was a gracious hostess, who valued her independence, and was always willing to give to whoever needed her. She was devoted to her family, loyal to her friends, and a very spiritual person.
