BILL KOCH Peacefully, with his family by his side, Bill passed away on December 24, 2001. He will be loved and remembered by his wife Gloria of 40 years and his daughters, Pamela (Scott, and his three daughters, Kasia, Sachelle and Teagan), Kelly (Darrell) granddaughter Madison; brrother Irvin (Sandy) sisters, Ruth Skinner and Elsie Thiessen (Peter) and thei families, mother-in-law Susan Watty and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his father John Koch in 1995 and his mother Lottie in 2000. Bill was born in Winnipeg in 1934 and spent the early part of his life growing up in the West End. During this time he enjoyed many activities and sports and formed life long friendships. From an early age Bill was industrious and gave his all to whatever he pursued, trying a variety of jobs before finding his niche in sales. In 1964, he joined Kiewels Brewery and later Labatts where he worked his way to sales manager. His friendliness and strong work ethic were respected by co-workers and customers alike. In 1976, Bill faced a serious medical condition that changed the course of his life and ended his working career. Normal everyday tasks that most of us take for granted were now a daily struggle. Not surprising, Bill was up for the challenge. He focused on different thing. Family relationships deepened. He became more compassionate and attentive to the needs of others. He took a keen interest in the comings and goings of those he loved, being especially considerate to his elderly parents and mother-in-law. Bill never felt sorry for himself nor ever allowed his disabilities to cloud his outlook or diminish his appreciation for life. He was loving, giving, gentle and funny. He had great character and integrity. His passing has left a deep void in our family and he will be forever remembered, loved and missed. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St., with Pastor Christoph Reiners officiating. We love you Dad, "Cheerio". "Until we meet again." NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
