MARGARET MABEL ROBERTS (nee RIDDELL) October 9, 1917 - December 26, 2001 Margaret passed away peacefully on December 26, 2001 with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, John (Kathy), Gord (Georgie), Doug (Flo) and Barb (Jessie) grandchildren, Ian, Lora, Jeremy, and Sarah; as well as her brother-in-law Ken Martin. Marg was predeceased by her sister Francis Martin. Marg was born in Vegreville, AB to John (J.C.) and Margaret (nee Bruce) Riddell. She graduated in 1939 from United College (University of Winnipeg) which was founded by her uncle Dr. J. Riddell. Marg worked as a social worker at the Childrens Aid Society of Winnipeg until her retirement in 1983. She was active with the St. Johns Guild of the Childrens Hospital. Marg loved kids, dogs, bridge, country music, bingo, and had a passionate love of wild birds. Thanks to the ICU Staff at Victoria General Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Westminster United Church, Maryland and Westminster. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Fort Whyte Centre Endowment Fund, 1961 McCreary Road, Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2K9 would be appreciated.
