He was 72 years old. Albert was born on September 15, 1929 in Stead, MB, the first born of Ludwig and Lydia Zirk. He attended Brodie School in Stead, and lived most of his life in the Stead/Thalberg area. He spent many winters of his earlier years working in the bush camps, cutting pulp. He later farmed for a living and worked at the peat moss plant.
