Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ANGUS PAYNE January 25, 1927 - December 27, 2001 On December 27, 2001, at Deer Lodge Centre, James (Jim) Payne, beloved husband of Anne Payne, passed away at the age of 74 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Marjorie Payne of Vancouver, BC; his son Robert Payne (wife Belle) grandsons, Michael and Patrick of Seattle WA. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Beatrice Payne of Winnipeg. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his sisters, Cora Morgan of Vancouver, Margaret Payne of Orangeville, ON, and Yvonne Allen (husband Mike) of Sonoma, CA. Also survived are numerous nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of Winnipeg, Jim was an active member of the Winnipeg Radio Club, Red River Exhibition, Winnipeg Lions, as well as the Charleswood Lions. He donated countless hours and support to the Lions organizations and will be surely missed. He also owned and operated Citizen Band Sales and Service for over 20 years. Prior to that Jim (aka Mr. Moonlighter) worked in the long distance commercial trucking industry and was trusted as being someone who would always be there to help those in need. Jim was a wonderful man who was always ready to volunteer for the community and extended his hospitality to friends and family alike. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2002, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. John A. Stennett officiating.
