Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD GEORGE NELSON July 18, 1922 - December 27, 2001 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Clifford George Nelson. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kathy (Charly) Vandersluis and their children, Curtis, Kristen, and Brent; Carol (Raymond) Roulette and their children, Messyna and Jeremy; Sharon (John) Maddison and her children, Devin, Justine and Brenden. Cliff also leaves to mourn his very special friend, Rose Walker; two sisters, Helen (Jack) Miller of Portage la Prairie, MB, Viola Howson of Vanderhoof, BC; one brother, Don Nelson, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who have fond memories of Cliff. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, George and Amy Nelson, as well as three brothers, John, Reginald and Gordon and two sisters, Merle and Dorothy. Cliff was born and raised in the Carman area. At age 17 he enlisted in the Canadian Army and served overseas until 1947. He returned and began his career at the Department of Highways until 1985. He will always be remembered for his many card tricks (his favorite being "Little Joe"). A funeral service will be held from the Carman United Church in Carman, MB on Monday, December 31 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Kidney Foundation (Manitoba Branch), 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
