Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREVEREND JOHN D. REIMER Reverend John D. Reimer passed away peacefully on December 28 at the Grace Hospital in his 80th year. He will be mourned by his beloved wife Martha, of 56 years; daughters, Emmy (Dave) Martens, Carol Neufeld, and Mic (Henry) Thiessen; sons, Wes (Tory) Reimer, Phil (Jackie) Reimer; 22 grandchildren and their spouses, and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Toni (Fred) Peters, and brother-in-law Aaron (Kay) Schmidt. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Emma Reimer and son-in-law Henry Neufeld. The last seven years after a severe heart attack he grew even closer to his family. Each hug made us conscious of the extra days of grace God was giving him. His greatest joy was knowing Jesus and sharing Him with others, leading many to the Lord. His lifes work was pastoring in churches in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. His ministry will be missed in the Portage Avenue M.B. Church, personal care homes, Union Gospel Mission and Kiltarton Towers. Dad and Mom served faithfully together. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Portage Avenue M.B. Church, 1420 Portage Ave., with Pastor Claude Pratte officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be prior to the service. In lieu of flowers if friends desire, donations may be made to Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave., R2L 0N1, Gideons, Box 3619, 501 Imperial Rd. N., Guelph, ON N1H 7A2 or to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
