Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEBRA ANN ANDERSON (nee BJORNSON) It is with deep sadness we announce the very sudden passing of Debbie Anderson on December 31, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre, due to a stroke. Debbie leaves behind her loving husband Lyle, and her daughters, Krystyn and Kayleigh and their pets, Dixie and Morgan. Mourning her passing are her sisters and brothers, Wanda (Mike), Bradley (Darlene), Delmore, Terry (Janet), Kim (Brenda), Jackie (Dale), Paulette (Wayne), Brent (Mary), and Karla (Gary). She is also survived by Lyles parents, Roy and Lillian Anderson; sister and brothers-in-law, Linda (Kerry), Connie (Meryl), Allan (Cheryl), Brian, Carol (Andy), Wayne (Cathy) and by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins with whom she shared special times. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Norma. Debbie was born on November 30, 1954 in Roseau, Minnesota. She grew up in Piney, MB in a large and loving family. Debbie graduated from Shevchenko Collegiate in June 1972 and began working at MTS in a career that lasted 30 years. Debbie continually strived to do better, taking accounting and management courses, and held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently that of senior telemarketing manager. Debbies relationship with Lyle began in grade one - with teasing and competition for best grades throughout school. They fell in love and married in 1985. Her second career, as a mother, started soon afterward, with the births of Krystyn and Kayleigh. Debbie was a warm and wonderful person - always upbeat and energetic. One of her greatest traits was her willingness to help anyone. She was happiest when in the company of her family and friends. Debbie and Lyle spent many times entertaining family and friends at their weekend retreat in Piney. She loved walking with her friends, curling, reading and snowmobiling. Mom, we love you and will miss you so much. You never missed our baseball, volleyball, and basketball games. You were our greatest fan. You taught us so much and were always there for us. Debbie, life is so short. We put all our efforts into the hustle and bustle of making things work and preparing for the future. Our retirement home in Piney seemed so close, but now it is very distant. I was always very proud to have you for my wife. I will always love you. Dont worry about our precious girls. With help from family and friends, they will be well taken care of. I hope you are at peace. We have wonderful memories of family trips to Disneyworld, Hawaii, Mexico, ski trips to Kananaskis, road trips to the States, visits with friends on Minnesota Hill - and the unforgettable annual trips to Detroit Lakes. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Community Hall in Piney, MB with Pastor L. Hermanson officiating. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Debbies memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation - Manitoba Division. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel Steinbach, MB. 204-326-1351.
