AUDREY CATHERINE GIBBONS August 2, 1920 - December 28, 2001 With sadness, the family announces the death of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on December 28, 2001 at Mt. St. Mary Hospital in Victoria, BC. Born in London, England, a place which remained forever in her heart, Audrey and her husband, Arthur, immigrated to Winnipeg in 1949 and moved to Victoria in 1979. Audrey was an office manager and bookkeeper in Winnipeg. She was always involved in the community, with the Business and Professional Womens Club, Cancer Society and Victoria Hospice. Audrey was a great friend to people in need. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, and will be greatly missed by her family, son Adrian (special friend, Jan), grandsons, Neal, Daniel and Jason and great-granddaughter Elise; daughter Anne (Alan), grandchildren, Shannon (Miro), Stephen and Michael; nephews, Ian (Millie), Peter (Jenny) and Trevor (Anne) in England. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Advent, 510 Mount View Road, Colwood (off Sooke Road) on Monday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. with Canon Trevor Wright officiating.
