ALPHONSINE LAVIGNE With great sadness, the family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grand-mother on December 29, 2001 at the De Salaberry Health District Hospital in St. Pierre, Manitoba at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband Odilon on January 10, 1983. Alphonsine is survived by hera daughters, Cecile, Alice and Ida; her sons, Paul and Art (Yvonne), and numerous grndchildren. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her sense of humour and quick wit. Our family wishes to express our sincerest thanks to all the Home Care staff at the St. Pierre Manor where Alphonsine had been residing, and the doctors and nurses from the De Salaberry Health District Hospital for their excellent care and kindness. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at the Precieux-Sang Parish, 200 Kenny St., with viewing from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at the St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the De Salaberry Health Centre, P.O. Box 320, St Pierre-Jolys, MB ROA 1VO.
