Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA ROGASKI Peacefully, on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at Holy Family Nursing Home, our much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called home by our Heavenly Father. She was predeceased by her parents John and Justina; husband John (1972) brother Mike; step-sisters, Soska and Ivace. Anna will be deeply missed by her children, daughter Jennie (Adam) son Michael (Mary) grandsons, Bruce Huchko (Lori), Peter Rogaski (Pat) of North Carolina; granddaughters, Cathy Renaud (Ken) and Mary-Anne (Tim) Rogaski; precious great-grandchildren, Carlyn Huchko, Jonathan and Matthew Renaud, Maria Rogaski, Brandon and Kieran Kennedy; nephew Peter Kens (Stefa), their children, Grace (Michael Ladamoza) and family, Anna Kens and her family in Toronto; nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Anna was born April 1, 1906. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1928. Anna met and married John Rogaski in 1929 and together they made their home in East Kildonan. She helped out during the hard times by working for vegetable gardeners for $1.00 a day. When her children were older, she found employment at the Fort Garry Hotel where she worked for 30 years. Mom loved her family and they, along with her Church were most important to her. Mom was an exceptional cook and her specialties of chrustyky, pyrohy, pompushke, holupci, as well as others were enjoyed by all. She enjoyed singing and playing bingo. Mom was always smiling, never complained and she will forever be our strength and example. Anna had open heart surgery in 1984. Dr. John Rabson and Dr. Cohen were her doctors, and by the grace of God she was given 17 more years to live on this earth. Mom realized her dream of going back to Ukraine and visiting her selo and seeing family members. When her health deteriorated, she moved to Holy Family Nursing Home. She enjoyed the time she spent at the nursing home and always appreciated the care and attention she received. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2002, at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe at Watt Street, with Rev. D. Kawiuk and Deacon V. Humniski officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Huchko, Ken Renaud, Peter Rogaski, Tim Kennedy, Gerald Bilyk, Derek Sigurdson. Cross bearer will be John Warrenchuk. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Family Nursing Home or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to all the special staff at Holy Family Nursing Home. Our warmest thanks to Pastoral Care and all the staff of 2A for their support, thoughtfulness and compassionate care, especially Sister Theresa and Sister Monica. Father in heaven, hear our prayer, Guard our Mother with tender care. Be a Good Shepherd, dont leave her alone, Love her as we loved her, when she was at home. Forever in our memories.
