EARL RICHARD THOMAS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Earl Richard Thomas on December 29, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital. At the time of his passing, Earl was surrounded by his wife, family and friends. Earls memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 50 years, Vera; daughter Eileen (Rocky) sons, Terry and Shane; brother Ted (Irene) sisters, Ann (Bob), Wilma (Jim), Mabel and Monda; grandchildren, Vanessa, Ashley, Shaun, Andrea, T.J., Carly and Derek; three great-grandchildren, as well as many close family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Mundy, mother Beatrice, father Rueben, brother Lorne and daughter-in-law Pat. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 1:00 p.m. also in the chapel with Rev. Fraser Hunter officiating. Interment to follow in the Balsam Bay Cemetery. Special thanks goes to Dr. Demsas and the many staff on the Palliative Care Unit of the Selkirk General Hospital, who cared for Earl and his family with such kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Program of the Selkirk General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
