I just want to add, I had named the guitar John crafted for me to honour his memory and is as follows: The Honduras Mahogany Maple Beast A-Stat-A-SG Meseyton Performaxe” (HMMBAMP for short!) I think of John whenever I play it and I feel his spirit in it. Rock in peace John! - Posted by: James L Ward (Customer/Friend ) on: Oct 06, 2020

I met John in the early 1990's in a music store in Winnipeg on Corydon Avenue. I overheard him saying he built guitars, right away that interested me! Anyway, I hired him to build me a custom guitar from scratch from a design that I had drawn out. So I came to see him at various stages in it's construction and he did a fine job. Also I jammed with him once, he kept saying I was too heavy metal! Which I was, probably. He came to see one of my band's play once too. I got along with him very well but he could be a bit cranky at times! I knew he was sickly, so that was probably why, I kind of know what that’s like. I just found out for sure just lately that he had passed on. The anniversary is coming up, wow, 18 years. I tried to visit him once but either he wasn’t home or wasn’t taking visitors and that was the last of it. I’m from out of town. I’m wondering what happened to all those guitars he built, there was some fantastic works there! Belated condolences to the family. - Posted by: James L Ward (Customer/Friend) on: Dec 12, 2019
