Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR CHARLES TERIN Passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2001. Predeceased by his mother Mildred; father Walter; brother Leslie; and sisters, Lillian and Florence. Survived by his wife Marlene; daughter Debbie (Robin) sons, Brian (Melody), John (Janet), Ken, Rob (Paula), Darcy (Deb) 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson and many other family members. Art was born in The Pas, MB in 1931 where he spent his early life. Later working with his dad on the Alaska Hwy. before moving to Winnipeg. Art met Marlene in 1949 and married in 1952. They would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on January 12, 2002. Art and Marlene raised their five sons and daughter in the Weston area. Art worked for the City of Winnipeg, Water Works for 47 years, retiring early in 1994. Art loved his lake home at Lee River Falls where he spent many happy times with his family and friends. Art had a great sense of humour, was a devoted husband and loving father and "Poppa". He was also an avid Hockey fan and was known by the boys as Mr. T. The family would like to thank the 911 operator, fire department, paramedics and the attending police officers for their kindness. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 4 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the City of Winnipeg, Animal Shelter, Adoption Program, 1057 Logan Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 3N8, for Poppas furry friends.
