Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HARRISON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Harrison, on December 31, 2001 at the Bethesda Hospital, in Steinbach, MB. John was born July 5, 1908 in Valley River, Manitoba, the eldest of six children. In 1921 the family moved to Winnipeg. He married Winnifred Alice Bindas on November 10, 1938. Upon his and her retirements they moved to Mitchell (Steinbach). They enjoyed their many travels, especially to Texas in the winter months. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife in 1995, his sister-in-law Anne Harrison and brother-in-law Max Swerdlow. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Stephen, William (Isadora), Walter (Mary) and sisters, Anne and Olive (Phil) as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation had taken place. In keeping with Johns wishes there will be no service. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hamm, the medical staff at Bethesda Hospital, Johns neighbors and the many home care workers especially Penny, Stan Kehler, for their care, kindness and compassion shown to John over the past few years.
