ANNE SIDOF (nee SCHROEDTER) Notice Of Correction Peacefully on January 1, 2002 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, Anne Sidof, aged 82 years of Ashern, MB, formerly of Faulkner, MB. Anne was born in Germany in 1919. While in Germany, she worked as a nurse during the war. In 1954 she immigated to Canada. She met Harry Sidof and later were united in marriage. Between 1955 and 1971 she worked as a nurse at the hospital in Ashern, commuting from her home in Faulkner. In 1989 she moved to Ashern and resided at the Pioneer Manor until her sudden passing. She is survived by her two brothers, Ernie Schroedter and Willie Schroedter; special niece Monica (Charlie) Tritthart; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Norquay and Mary Sidof; along with many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Henry; her parents, Marie and Adolph; one sister-in-law, Tillie Schroedter. Friends and relatives may pay their respects between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2002 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Ashern, with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow in the Faulkner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Sander, Curtis Gunther, George Solberg, Larry Solberg, Hilding Olson and Brian Olson. The family would like to thank the homecare workers and the Ashern Ambulance attendants, doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave our aunt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Runa Mangl, "For Use in the Palliative Care Unit", Ashern, MB. Arrangements in care of Arnason Funeral Home Ltd.
