MURIEL J. TEVENDALE It is with sadness we announce the death of Muriel Tevendale. Muriel passed away peacefully with family by her side at Riverview Health Centre, Wednesday, January 2, 2002. She will be lovingly remembered by her nephews, Alex Tevendale (Jean), Dan Young (Karen), Paul Young (Dorothy), David Young, and her late niece Peggys husband Dennis Baker; great-nephews, David Tevendale of Calgary, Glen Tevendale of New York, great-nieces, Susan Baker of Ft. McMurray, Laura Lund of Smithers, B.C., and many more great-nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her dear friend of many years Allie Matheson. Born in Scotland on September 13, 1912, she came to Canada at an early age. She spent most of her life in Elmwood and East Kildonan, attended Lord Selkirk School and worked for the T. Eaton Co. for over 30 years. After her retirement, Muriel spent many years as a volunteer in various nursing homes. She was a very generous, kind and loving Aunt to us all. A most caring person, who focused on the helping of others. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her. Muriel was predeceased by her sister Rae; brothers, Bob, John and David. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy Street, with Pastor Alan Duncalfe officiating. The family wishes to express warmest and sincere thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre.
