DENNIS WILLIAM KRESTANOWICH It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Dennis passed away on January 4, 2002 at home at the age of 62 years. Denniss memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 37 years, Sharon; his three children, Paul (Cory), Jason, Lisa (Mike) his perfect little grandson Zachary; his mother Doris; and brothers, Ted (Jennifer), and David (Joanne). Also left to mourn are his father and mother-in-law, Ray and Claire Hastie; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Kris Hastie; nephews, John Krestanowich, Bill Krestanowich, Ryan Hastie, Reid Hastie; niece Cheryl Krestanowich, and many friends and family in Winnipeg, Fort Frances, ON and Manzanillo, Mexico. Dennis was predeceased by his father William (Bill) Krestanowich. Dennis was born on July 4, 1939 in Winnipeg. He moved to Fort Frances in 1948 where he spent his formative years. In 1962 he moved back to Winnipeg to work as an accountant for the Hospital Association and Misericordia Hospital, then on to Winnipeg Supply, Motor Coach Industries for 19 years and finally owner/operator of Kildonan Cleaners for the last eight years. Dennis married Sharon in 1964 and started their family in 1969. They enjoyed vacationing with the family at Grand Beach each summer and in later years, winter vacations in Manzanillo. Dennis was involved with his children at River Heights Community Centre as hockey and soccer coach and Vice President for a term. He was also involved with the Red River Exhibition for eight years, chairing the Security Committee. Denniss greatest joy over the last year and a half was his grandson Zachary. Spending time with him always put a sparkle in his eye. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denniss memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
