LEO S. ROY Suddenly, at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, December 30, 2001, Leo Roy passed away at the age of 81 years. Leo leaves to mourn his loving wife of 50 years, Lucille, and numerous nieces and nephews. Leo was born and raised in St. Jean-Baptiste, MB. As a young man, he enlisted in the Army and served overseas for five years. When Leo returned from the war, he met and married his wife, Lucille (nee Chartier) on June 21, 1952. Leo enjoyed his retirement, always keeping busy fixing small engines for friends and family. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, at the St. Boniface Cathedral, with viewing one-half hour prior to service. Mgr Albert Frechette presiding. Interment to follow at the Green Acres Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the St. Boniface Cathedral Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R2B 2H8 or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
