Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL SHOLDRA With profound sadness, the family of Michael H. Sholdra announces his passing on Wednesday, January 2, 2002. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife of 55 years Bernice; daughter Sandra (Wally) Turk of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Brad (Shelley) of Calgary, Lisa (Jon) of Regina, David of Saskatoon and great-granddaughters, Hanna and Dana. Also surviving are sisters, Anne Kuryk and Olga Krawchuk of Ontario. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cathy Michelle, brother Alexander and sister Marie Barnes. The son of John and Anastasia, Michael was born August 2, 1921 and spent his early childhood in Winnipeg, before moving to the Warren and Stonewall areas. For the majority of their married life, Michael and Bernice have resided in Winnipeg. Following a challenging and fulfilling 30 year career in heavy road construction which took him to many corners of the world, Michael retired in 1985. Prior to his failing health, he enjoyed several years of RV travel and his hobby of mechanics. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 7 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Rev. M. Krochak officiating. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service. Service will terminate at the chapel. Private interment will take place. The family wishes to express most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of 4 East Wing, Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate, thoughtful care and kindness. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Michaels memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8 or a charity of ones choice.
