EMMA (BETTE) ELIZABETH KAROL (nee FROST; nee BOLAM) Peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2002 at the Concordia Hospital, Bette, aged 78 years of Winnipeg, beloved mother of Donna. Bette was born at Neepawa, MB on June 2, 1923. She moved to Selkirk with her family and later moved to Winnipeg to live with her daughter Donna and son-in-law Norman until her untimely passing. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Donna and son-in-law Norman (Boyd) grandchildren, Dennis Frost, Leslie and Todd Billington, Jeffery and Lori Boyd, Laura Frost, Jason Frost; great-grandchildren, Ryan Kyle, Paige and Ashley - Bettes greatest joy; daughter-in-law, Sandra Frost; sisters, Marjorie Fidler and Mary McKenzie; her best friend Betty Henderson; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Bette was predeceased by her parents; sister Blanche; brother David; first husband Leslie Frost and second husband Jacob Karol and three sons, Leslie, David and Kenneth. Respecting Bettes wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service held. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff and doctors of the Concordia Hospital for their excellent care and sincere compassion shown to Bette and her family during this difficult time. As tokens of sympathy, donations in memory of Bette may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
