She was predeceased by her parents Kinu and Yaozo Nomura; husband Fred (1988) brothers Tom and Ak. She was a seamstress and was employed with Eatons Downtown/Garden City for over 30 years. Mom enjoyed sewing, bowling, cards, family gatherings, trips with friends and visiting relatives. Being a religious person she was always active and involved with the Manitoba Buddhist Church. Mom was always smiling, never complained, loved people and she will continue to be our strength and mentor. We would like to thank the staff of Klinic and Victoria Hospital 5B for their dedication and kindness while Mom was in their care. The family is grateful to the staff and volunteers of Lions Manor-Rimmer House where she resided for the last one and a half years of her life in a safe, loving and caring environment. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Ave. with Sensei Fredrich Ulrich officiating. A family interment will take place in the spring at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Manor-Rimmer House Fund, 320 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2W6.
