Offer Condolences or MemoryROSEMARIE (ROSE) SPENCER (nee HOBAN) Rosemarie (Rose) Spencer, nee Hoban, beloved wife of the late William (Smoky) Spencer of Warren, MB, passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on January 3, 2002 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 64 years. Born May 26, 1937 at Brokenhead Municipality, MB. Rosemarie resided in the cities of Winnipeg, Edmonton and until recently with her son in Calgary. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Linda Hoban of Calgary, AB; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Sean Hoban (Tara) and (Sweet William), and Tamara Ryan Kohlert (Paul) and (Angel Baby Tyler). She is also survived by brothers, Jackie Hoban (Fracois), of Napean, ON. and Rodney Forsdick of Ipswich, England; sisters, Colleen Sweeney (Terry), of Winnipeg, and Maureen Hoban of Calgary (and her son Jesse) sister-in-law Carol Hoban (Jimmy), of Calgary, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and their families. She was predeceased by spouses, Wilmot Herrington (married and deceased in 1965) and William Spencer (married in 1980 and deceased in 1995) her parents, Kenneth (deceased 1989) and May (deceased in 1990) as well as her brother, William (Jimmy) James (deceased in 1997). As per Rosemaries wishes there will not be a funeral service at this time, however, relatives and friends are invited to attend a wake at the home of Daniel and Linda, located at 1414 Lake Michigan Dr. SE, Calgary, AB., Sunday January 6 at 1:00 p.m. Internment is to take place at a future time in the Province of Manitoba. In living memory of Rose, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 Bannister Rd. SE, Calgary, AB (403) 256-9575. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Salvation Army, The Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Red Cross in Rosemaries name would be appreciated.
