KATHERINE PARKER 1910 - 2002 On Sunday, January 6, 2002, the skies opened to welcome a special angel home. It is with sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Katherine Parker at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli, MB. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, George Elvin Parker in January 1988. Katherine was born on August 30, 1910 in Carmel, SK and from there moved to Peterson, SK. At an early age, she left home and moved to Saskatoon, working in many fields until she took her course to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), staying in that career for 21 years helping others. She took great pride in her gardening and planting of flowers, having tea with her friends and neighbours and coming to the lake on the weekends. Katherine is survived by her daughters, Eleanor (Don) Milne and Sandra Miller; her adopted daughter Arneil (Chester) Tesarowski; her granddaughters, Patricia (Eugene) Sansregret, Michelle (Don) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Crystal and Kyle Sansregret and Marisa and Nicholas Thompson. She is also survived by her sisters, Christina Lyus, Ann Larson, Hilda Aldofer and Margaret Rowat all of Saskatoon, SK; sisters-in-law, Laurine Aldofer and Olide Aldofer of Saskatoon; godson George Lyus; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Eddy and Martin Aldofer and four sisters, Helen Rowe, Betty Ball, Clara Berry and Eva Urban. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. at William Avenue with Pastor Dan Shmelinski officiating. Lunch to follow service. A private family interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and Dr. R.C. Patel at Johnson Memorial Hospital for their kindness. Also a special thank you goes to the staff at Betel Nursing Home in Gimli where Katherine made her home. You have all been so kind. In memory of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her love for children, should friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Childrens Wish Foundation, Lower Level, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. Mother - You will be with us forever. We love you dearly. Rest in peace my dear. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
