DORIS ISOBEL JONES Peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2002, Doris Isobel Jones (nee Simpson) passed away with her loving husband of 59 years, Franklin and her daughter Janet and son Chris at her side. Doris was born January 1, 1920 in Winnipeg to Charles and Margaret Simpson. She was predeceased by her brother Tom and both parents. Her passing will leave a deep void in the lives of Franklin and daughter Janet and her husband Murray Gratto of Sechelt, BC and son Christopher and his wife Nancy of Saskatoon and their children, Sarah, Luke and Gabriel. Doriss cheerful disposition made her many friends, whether curling at the Winnipeg Winter Club or the Granite Curling Club, golfing at Niakwa Golf Course or playing bridge. She loved to display her talents for entertaining friends and family and many lavish dinner parties and wonderful baking skills will never be forgotten. In keeping with Doriss wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. Doris and her family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at Victoria Hospital and especially for the respect and compassion by the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doriss name to the charity of ones choice.
