MICHAEL (COKEY) SAWCHUK 1914 - 2002 Cokey passed away after a short illness at Seven Oaks Hospital on January 9, 2002. He was born on January 1, 1914 in Aaron, SK, but lived most of his life in Winnipegs North End. Cokey was one of Selkirk Avenues colourful characters and operated a shoe shine parlour there for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Alice; mother Mary; father Nick; stepmother Annie; sister Margie; five brothers, John, Bill, Met, Steve and Joe. He is survived by three sisters, Sophie, Veronica, Joanne (Stan) and one brother Pete (Shirley). At Cokeys request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
