GEORGE WALLACE MYERS On January 7, 2002, our dear father, grand-father and great-grand-father passed away suddenly at Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his loving wife Astrid Hildegard Myers. George was born on December 25, 1927, at the Winnipeg Pavilion, Winnipeg, MB. He spent his early life growing up on Bowman Avenue and Jamison Avenue in Winnipeg. He later moved to a home on Kingsford Avenue where he and his wife raised their six children. He later moved to Ostenfeld, MB, where he resided until his passing. George is survived by his children, Walter (and Joyce), Stewart, Robert (and Laura), Ellen (and Gerry) Morin, Heather (and Andy) Rivard, and Ken (and Kathy). He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren, Chris and wife Diane (and their son Brenden), Scott, George and fiancee Jen (and their son Jordan), Siobhan, Sara and fiance Don, Leslie, David, Alex, Ethan, Darian and Travis. He will also be missed by his best friend Joan Glover. George had a smile that would light up anyones day. His humour was loved by all and will be deeply missed. He took great pride in his yard and garden. George enjoyed the simple country life with his companion "Hope", his dog. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11 from Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., with a gathering of family and friends to follow.
