ELIZABETH ANNA "BETTY" JACKSON (nee CHALMERS) Peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2002 Betty Jackson passed away at the Grace General Hospital in her 93rd year. Born in Winnipeg, on September 28, 1909. She attended Isbister School. Employed by T. Eaton Co. until her marriage to W. Lloyd Jackson on August 30, 1930. She was predeceased by her beloved Lloyd on September 26, 1978. Survived by daughter Laura (Ivan) Cronsberry of Courtenay, BC; son Andrew (Ella) of Oakville, ON and grandchildren, Andrea and Garth Jackson of Toronto, ON. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Jackson was a longtime resident of St. James where she was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church. After returning to Winnipeg, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and in recent years returned to St. James Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Grace Hospital Auxiliary and received a Recognition Pin for her years of service. The family would like to thank all who so lovingly cared for her at the Grace Hospital, the care staff at Lions Place and also to everyone who kept in touch with her during her later years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Presbyterian Church, 1476 Portage Ave., with the Rev. Brenda Fraser officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Grace General Hospital Auxiliary or to the St. James Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
