JOHN MUDRY It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John Mudry on January 9, 2002, at the age of 79. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Phyllis; son Don (Kerrie) daughter Elaine (Orest) Strzelbicki; grand-children, Michael and Leann Mudry; sisters, Stephanie Wawyn-Stiller and Mary Evenson of Penticton, BC; sister-in-law Martha (Russ) Graham; and brother-in-law Joe Martini. He will also be missed by numerous relatives and friends. John was predeceased by his sister Sandra Page. Dad worked hard throughout his life. In the early years he was employed with Dominion Lumber and CNR. Later on he was self-employed in the trucking industry, working for Maple Leaf Construction until his retirement. He enjoyed carpentry, mechanics, spending time at Assiniboia Downs, and his coffee outings. The family would like to thank the staff at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Centre for their kind and compassionate care of John. Also, a special thank you to the neighbours for their kindness. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow. Pallbearers are Orest Strzelbicki, Mike Mudry, Leann Mudry, Eddy Wawyn, Russ Graham, and George Drad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johns memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3. "We Love you, Dad - Rest In Peace."
