DIANE JAMIESON Diane Jamieson passed away peacefully in St. Josephs Hospice in Thunder Bay, ON., on Tuesday, January 8, 2002 with her family and extended family at her side. She leaves behind Duncan, her husband of 36 years; daughter Trisha and husband Jon Clark; grandchildren, Morgan and Marshall of Georgetown, TX; mother Florence Hepburn and brother George Hepburn, both of Winnipeg, MB; numerous relatives and many special friends. She was predeceased by her father Stuart Hepburn in 1945 and her son Stuart in 1988. Diane was born in Winnipeg, MB in May 1940 and spent her childhood there. She met her future husband Duncan in Montreal in 1962, during her cross-country travels. They enjoyed living in Winnipeg and Falcon Lake, MB, then settled in Kaministiquia, ON in 1980. Those of us that know Di, are left with a huge void that cannot be filled in our lives. Everyone that met Diane was impacted by the power of her generosity of spirit and wonderful dynamic nature. You could not help being drawn to her magnetic personality. Dianes home was open to everyone and no one left without feeling special and cared for. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dianes life will be held on Friday, January 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland St., officiated by Rev. Gwen Ament of Lakeview Presbyterian Church. Interment to take place in Dog River Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Dianes memory to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or to St. Josephs Hospice.
