Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MADELINE RICHARDS (nee JOHNSON) April 24, 1907 - January 11, 2002 Peacefully at the Central Park Lodge on January 11, 2002, Mrs. Lillie Richards of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 94 years. Lillie leaves to mourn her two sisters, Doris Macey and Marjorie Abbott. She was predeceased by her husband Cec Richards; sisters, May Brunsel, Alice Kaye, Evelyn Johnson and brother Clifford Johnson. Lillie was born in Winnipeg on April 24, 1907. She grew up and attended school in Elmwood. During her career Lillie worked at Rowland and Son, Cassidys, and lastly at the University of Manitoba in the Payroll Department until her retirement. Lillie was an avid Bridge player, and also enjoyed many summers at Lake of the Woods with Cec and other family members. Lillie will be especially remembered for her fresh hot biscuits on Saturday mornings at the lake. Lillie took great pride in sharing her knowledge of card games with nieces and nephews and their children. In keeping with Lillies wishes, cremation has taken place. A family service will be held on Tuesday, January 15 in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. We would like to thank the staff at Quest Inn where Lillie enjoyed living for many years in the company of good friends.
