IRENE ISBISTER (nee DANIELS) May 4, 1916 - January 11, 2002 It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at Oakview Place Extendicare on January 11, 2002. Irene (Reenie) was born in St. James (Winnipeg), MB, to Ernest and Eleanor Daniels. Irene and her brother and five sisters were raised in St. James. Irene married John William Isbister, the love of her life, on April 18, 1939. Irene was a devoted mother and wife to Johnny, who returned this devotion with many years of care during her lengthy illness. Johnny predeceased Irene on May 22, 1998. Irene is lovingly remembered by her children, Gail (Craig) of Winnipeg, Reg (Josie) of Kaleden, BC, Janice (Ken) Rice of Kenora, and Paul of Winnipeg; by her grandchildren, Trent (Julie), Andrea and Ainsley, Sandra, Cheryl (Rob) and Michael; her sisters, Thelma and Audrey; and many great-grandchildren. Mom will be missed and remembered always by her family and friends. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Oakview Place for the compassionate care shown to Mom. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2, or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 17, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
