FRANK P. FLISS On Sunday, January 13, 2002, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Frank Fliss, aged 84, passed away. Predeceased by his loving wife Rose; his parents; his brothers, Michael and Stephen; his sister Mary Galbreth. His memory will be lovingly cherished by his brother Joseph and wife Sophie; sisters-in-law, Helen Deegan, Vickie Kinnin (husband Robert), Alice Vukets, Eleanor Vickets, Mary Fliss; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank enjoyed a life-long career in the insurance industry, both private (F.P. Fliss & Co.) and public (M.P.I.C.) and up until his retirement was in a managerial position. He enjoyed playing golf and was a long term member of the Niakwa Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed reading and especially enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and kindness. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. and Arlington with Rev. Fr. Christopher Zajac, OSBM officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Menzies, Gabriel Giancola, Lorne Okanase, Daniel Sweeney and Thomas John Oosterveen. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Franks memory to a charity of one's choice. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest, Gods garden must be beautiful, He takes only the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered, Peace be thine.
