DORIS ISOBEL TAYLOR On Sunday, January 13, 2002, Doris Isobel Taylor (nee Rattray) passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, with her family at her side. Mum was born in Wallace Municipality in southwest Manitoba on February 20, 1916. A child of the Great Depression, she never forgot the lessons and values of those days, growing up on the family farm, and did her best to instill them in her own family. Survived and deeply loved by her sons, Ross (Edith), Keith (Jacqueline), and Murray (Susan). Mum was a loving Grandma and Nana to Valerie (Steve), Robert (Joslyn), and James (Caroline), Tricia (Greg) and Terry (Jeannine) and to Jeffrey and Timothy. Great-grandchildren, Tarryn and Alec, and Baby Michelle will miss Nanas cookies and stories. Also survived by sisters, Anne and Connie (Bill) and brother Doug (Wynn) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Alec, sister Margaret (Rita), and brother William. Mum was a lover of nature and the outdoors as witnessed by her many lovely plants and garden, and the numerous birds, squirrels, and bunnies that frequented her yard. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Wednesday, January 16 at 12:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place and the family interment is planned for a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, and a donation in her memory to the Woodnorth MB Cemetery Fund, in care of Mr. Murray Cameron, Virden Post Office, Virden, MB or to a charity of ones choice would be greatly appreciated. Deepest thanks to the nurses and staff of Ward 3 South of the Grace General Hospital for their care and attention. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
