Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) DENBY After a long and courageous battle with illness, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of John (Jack) Denby, on January 12, 2002, aged 86, beloved husband of Alice Denby. John Denby was born in Bluff Creek, MB on November 19, 1915. He was predeceased by both his parents, three brothers and one sister. Besides his loving wife of 64 years, he leaves to mourn his six children, Kenny (Jeannette) of Dryden, ON, Wilma (John) of Portage la Prairie, Grant (Judy) of Winnipeg, Stewart (Marion) of Winnipeg, Randy (Cathy) of Spring Lake, AB, Brad (Bea) of Winnipeg. He also leaves to mourn 21 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces; also his sister Ida; sisters-in-law, Anna and Annabell; and brother-in-law Joe. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. from the Kinosota Community Centre under the auspices of the Anglican Church of Canada. Rev. Ann Crossland will officiate with the interment to follow in the St. Bedes Parish Cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #151, Alonsa will form the honour guard and conduct a poppy tribute in conjunction with the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society can be made in memory of John. The family would also like to thank all the nurses on the 4th floor at Grace Hospital for their wonderful care and support. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, in care of arrangements.
