GEORGE HILDEBRANDT Peacefully on January 15, 2002 our dear husband, dad and grandpa George Hildebrandt passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. George was predeceased by his infant son Darrell; his parents and several family members. Dad will be sadly missed by his loving wife Lena; son Gerald (Deb), Chad, Jesse and Garrett; son Perry (Deb), Dylan and Sydney and son Sheldon and mother-in-law Mrs. Beatrice Lawrence. Dad worked for many years on the Dew Line in Alberta. After coming home from the Dew Line Dad returned to farming near his home town of Marquette, MB. He was always active in local community events and enjoyed helping friends and neighbours with his welding skills or farm equipment. When he had spare time, gardening was his usual form of stress relief as well as keeping his five grandchildren busy with various chores around the yard. Thank you to Dr. Goodhand and the staff at the Grace Hospital for Dads wonderful care. We love you Grandpa and now you are with the angels. Love your boys and your little lady. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall (433 Main St). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dads memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of arrangements.
